No Child For Sale

"Every child has the right to be protected. Yet millions of children around the world are subjected to exploitation, violence and abuse daily."— World Vision Canada. Mica is a mineral used in many household products, like cosmetics. The problem is that this mineral is mined in countries where child labour is undocumented, or worse, legal, and Canadians may unknowingly be contributing to the problem with their purchases.

the challenge // encourage the public to join a campaign to press government to introduce Supply Chain Transparency legislation in Canada.

the solution // stop them in their tracks. Working with World Vision staff, we created visuals for an multi-pronged social media awareness and political influence campaign, including a multi-city pop-up event (on-site free mini-makeovers using source documented ingredients), event peripherals, and a data packed report directed to politicians but accessible to all. Great buzz on media channels —and huge boost to their petition for change.
